If we want to respond to the risks we face due to severe weather impacts in the U.S. (& maintain our reputation as a research leader in this area), it is crucial we continue to invest in & improve the resources (e.g., data, radar infrastructure, mesonets) we all rely on in the weather enterprise.
Our community relies on access to a long list of federally-funded resources that deserve to be advocated for at the highest levels.

The 2026 GWC "All Things Radar: Severe Weather" specialty workshop offered in partnership with @comet-meted.bsky.social (COMET/MetEd) will offer interactive in-depth sessions, case studies and tech tips for all experience levels on key radar products to prepare for and chase severe weather.
Karen will be pulling together all of the radar-specific concepts we'll be covering during this workshop into a comprehensive and interactive case study - and you might recognize the tornado event included!
