I've relaunched my blog! With a shiny new coat of paint, and a new sense of purpose π

I heartily recommend the Sennheiser Momentum 4 headphones I bought earlier this year. Not least because we're getting a new roof put in, and my spouse is like "you're gonna have a migraine from all that noise" - with the noise cancelling, I don't even notice π
I was going to say "ooo, yes, I hope to get there one day too" but then I remembered I've literally taken my son to soccer games this year π

So many Canadian snacks - ketchup chips, Kraft peanut butter, Honeycomb cereal (the good kind, not the American kind), some gummies for the kids, Smarties and snack mix for me, and various cookies boxes you can't find in the US. All arranged in my kitchen
A selfie of me in my car on the drive there, waiting for it to finish charging
I enjoyed my trip across northern Michigan & northern Ontario this weekend. Pretty scenery, good company, and so, so many Canadian snacks brought back πππ
This is a really good breakdown of what happened last night with Republicans changing the budget bill to ban adult trans care in Medicaid.
Send this to your friends and loved ones, now is the time for action!

I had a lovely time with my Pennsylvania friends, attending the @wtyppod.bsky.social live show in Philadelphia last night! It was off the rails in the best way.
It was neat to be sitting next to some of Liam's coworkers at Lutheran Settlement House. They're good people doing important work βΊοΈ
What Vox Media just did to the Polygon staff is one of the worst things I can remember in media. Selling to Valnet and laying off almost all of your staff so the site can go to content farming clickbaiters. Fuck all of that so, so hard.
Two photos of me. The one on the left is from 2018, wearing all black, scowling at the camera while holding chopsticks to eat sushi with. The right one is from today, wearing a gray tank underneath a black denim jacket, smiling cheerfully at the camera.
Here's a before & after, in case you'd like to know what the joy of being your true self looks like π
I don't necessarily *want* to be visible, even on #TransDayOfVisibility. I'd much rather find a cozy little spot to enjoy the day.
Sadly, I know that keeping trans people hidden is exactly what they want. I'm in no mood to oblige.
So, hi! I'm Courtney, I'm trans, and you're not going to erase me π³οΈββ§οΈ

The best thing about Bluesky is that most of the cool people are here now, which made deleting my Threads account real easy π
Now if only it could replace Instagram too...
I'd seen your posts on other sites many years ago, before I started my own journey, and thought "y'know, if I do this and look even half as good as she does, I'll be ecstatic!"
Fast-forward to today, and I came closer than I thought I'd get - and I love who I am. Thanks for being an inspiration βΊοΈ

The algorithmβs totally sized me up as a basic bitch millennial - at this point, it only suggests to me Taylor Tomlinson clips.

I'm realizing that the people I used to follow didn't so much migrate elsewhere as left that kind of social media completely. It's a shame to see them go π
Logging into Twitter for the first time in years, just to see who, among those I used to follow, made it to BlueSky. It'd be nice to reconnect with old friends π
I never wanted to learn anything about Dr. Oz or WWE. I made it all this way. And now.
