Claude and I spent the morning making a browser-based simulator for those FPV drones they use in Olympic downhill events. It's amazing what's possible with computers these days.

Wow that's gorgeous. The anticipation builds!
Hey I'm visiting Morocco in about a month, anything you recommend as a must-see?
Let's play a game:
- you pick a number.
- you verbally count out loud, at whatever pace you want, uninterrupted (no breaks, no sleep, you count while going to the bathroom, etc.)
- if you can reach that number, you get that many dollars; otherwise, you get nothing.
What number would you pick?
in 10 years you will be so much happier to have created 4 bad things than not created 1 perfect thing

Thanks for the heads up. Fixed!
On the latest @oxide.computer podcast, @ahl.bsky.social predicted a programming language optimized for LLMs, perhaps unintelligible to humans.
I've never been nerdsniped so hard.
I wrote up my experience trying to get an LLM to build this, and learned a lot. I highly recommend giving it a try!
Screenshot of GitHub settings for "Enable release immutability" which is unchecked by default for new repos
Why not at least check this by default for new repos? π€

Picture of the Clicks physical keyboard addon for the iPhone, which makes the phone ~25% taller
Thinking about getting one of these, just so that I feel like a huge goober whenever I use my phone, and use it less.
Services that deliver webhooks should occasionally send a request that isn't authenticated, and alert you if the receiver didn't reject it.

"Comparison is the thief of joy"
Fuck it's so true. In a thousand years I could never come up with a saying that good. It makes me furious.

Livestream when
I'll make a note to check back in 30 days to see if you've survived that too!
No update after 2 hours, I have to assume you have perished.
RIP
I wanna do it more next year, let's do something
Anyway what I'm saying is it's weird that you can define a func named `_` you just can't call it.
#til
What do you think will happen?
1. ./prog.go:5:6: syntax error: unexpected _, expected name or (
2. ./prog.go:10:2: cannot use _ as value or type
3. Hello, world!
4. ./prog.go:10:2: undefined: _
That's called being lore accurate.

In that future, real humans will be uniquely better at producing this style of art, and we may value it more because of that.
AI slop art is a particular aesthetic, with typical characteristics: extra fingers, garbled text, etc.
If you believe the hype, AI will become *worse* at producing that aesthetic over time.
In that future, we may find the AI slop aesthetic nostalgic, of a time when AI art was more discernible.
