You get way more progress in Marathon NOT killing players because you can kill USEC so much faster and quicker. Especially as a Rook.
Marathon is an insanely fun PVE game and an insanely one sided PVP game when solo.
Destiny and Marathon have the same problem. They made the PVE more fun than the PVP but made all the cool shit locked behind PVP.
