He wanted to make a dinosaur playing basket-ball, I drew this for him. They loved it so much, the dad paid me in the end

Because I seen many people saying "it's too late" or "I am bad at drawing".

We all begin somewhere, I was not good at all when I started but I loved creating things on paper.

That love makes you evolve.

This kid is still drawing from time to time to this day.

I'm Rio, a Mexican/Puerto Rican trans sculptor! My work is hand sculpted from clay and sometimes reproduced in resin! Everything from the prototype, molding, casting, and painting are done by myself. I love sculpting animals, anime, and horror especially in fun, bold shapes!

This is one of the reasons why I got major burn out by sculpting...sculpting traditionally in clay takes time, so it's very hard for me to constantly produce enough content to stay relevant in this current rapid feed.

who gives a fuck if art is "poorly" drawn it's art that didn't exist before someone attempted it with their hands

I constantly think about the great artworks we've love this generation to the content mill algo. Everyone pushed into daily output, highly disincentivized to take risks, absolutely stifling to artistic growth.

I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.
