Our friends just released their new game! Now you too can make the entire office like anime. (In game too) If you've ever thought video games should be more like board games give this a shot!

For those who can't be here you can still wishlist our magical girl detective game on Steam here!

(Steam will tell you when the demo is out)
A convention booth for the game Star Apprentice: Dazzling Danmaku Detective. There is a two monitor setup with one showing a gameplay video and the other available to play the game on. There is a large banner with art of the main character Minnie Star and includes a QR code to go to the Steam page.
We're live at GDX! Folks can come play the Star Apprentice demo (that's not available publicly yet)!
Thanks to @iaalberta.bsky.social for hosting the event!
The chapter 1 script is done? Awesome! It's 141 pages? Hell yeah! It's just the first draft? *Cries*
We'll be at #GameConCanada this year!
If you're there you can try out the new demo of Star Apprentice: Dazzling Danmaku Detective!
Ah, the experience of writing a detective story when you *checks notes* argue with yourself about how your protagonist would order coffee.
(The answer is extravagantly btw)
Howdy! Alberta based dev here! Would love to be added!
Our evidence thumbnails are a tad big for the UI rn so I had them bounce around like a TV logo.

The one infinitely frustrating thing about making a mystery game is that I can't easily blab about it with people because Spoilers exist 🥲
My #1 favorite design trick is when a game establishes a pattern, then breaks that pattern meaningfully. It's like the backbone of so many cool moments imo
For sure! I wouldn't have experienced it personally without having remade Magical Murder Mystery in Godot, when that took like 1/12 the time.
When you're sure about what you're aiming for it's so much easier to just do it. Figuring out what that is and evaluating it takes way more energy.
I've come to realize the most time consuming things in game dev fall under the category of "making decisions".
Looking great! Awesome to hear you're getting into Godot!
Howdy! If you like:
Ace Attorney
Danganronpa
Mystery
Touhou
Pixel Art
Magical Girls
Cute Dresses
Anime
You should keep an eye out for my game: Star Apprentice: Dazzling Danmaku Detective (currently in development)
The absolute best feeling as a gamedev is when you get like 20 tasks done in a week
The absolute best feeling as a human is to eat homemade soup
Howdy! I'm Jamie and I'm a #gamedev working on a magical girl detective game! Also a big fan of #pixelart!
