'Puyo Puyo~n' was released on the Dreamcast 27 years ago today in Japan.

It's funny how the graphics on the original version, despite looking very dated nowadays, still looks quite better than the ones from the DX version.

Despite the animation of TMNT (2003) being mostly your standard 2000s action cartoon quality, there are moments where they manage to deliver some really good sequences.

Much of the credit needs to be given to the Korean studio DongWoo Animation, which did a lot of work in the 2000s when it comes to action cartoons. I think they're one of the most underrated overseas studios out there.

The Batman (2004) in particular is easily one of DongWoo's best works animation-wise.

Warner Bros.' budget and production pipeline + the studio already having some familiarity with Jeff Matsuda's style (for their work on Jackie Chan Adventures) would obviously contribute to this.

It's insane how DongWoo just disappeared from the western animation space after their work in the 2000s.

They were one of the best overseas studios back then.
