My Tourette's often makes me swing my arms uncontrollably and if I was repeatedly hitting someone I wouldn't just stand there and let it happen or expect them to just take it.
I have read a lot of posts and taken some time to digest everything and as a white person with Tourette's (although admittedly not coprolalia) I feel like I have to say I fully accept that he had no control, but I do not accept that the solution is Black people just have to endure it with a smile.
