This, in of itself has taken a bit of time, but I'll try and extend the playlists as I go —as I have a LOT of music I loop through when writing.

It keeps me going into the darklight.

This shows a screenshot of my new addition to the subscriber/signup section of my site. It shows the lists of playlists per character. There are 9 in total at the moment, but there are more I could add. Anyway, I like them, even if no one else does. It covers such artists as Chvrches, Pixies, Tool, Hundred Reasons, Illenium, Daughter, Metric, The Haunt, Switch Angel, AViVA, Pendulum, and so on... just tracks I've collected like shortcuts. Shortcuts to a different world, one with better edges and friendlier physics.

In other news... I've finally done it!

I always said I wanted TEOWAD to have a soundtrack.

And now I've found a way to sort of do it.

I've exposed part (repeat, PART) of the playlists I listen to whilst writing different characters and various parts of the book as playlist form.

Now I just..

..waiting. Hence the reason I've not really been here.

But I am here now. A little later than planned.

And—Ignoring that I've said this before—the book is actually being reproofed & rechecked.

So, it really shouldn't be long now.

Unless the Tilt-fandango decides to properly give up the ghost. 🤞

But yes... this led to unexpected delays in the stratch combobulator, and a number of days of hair pulling, last minute video editing, footage capturing, completely baffling author habits and just about everything else you can think of.

Even the CMYK justifier exploded in a colourful display of...

PERSONAL MESSAGE: So, in a week where I needed everything to go smoothly, of course, nothing did.

You can plan everything you like.
But when you've annoyed a small god somewhere.
There's really nothing you can do but hold on and hope.

I think things have returned to normal...

Thanks! Sure, I am already following you, which is the bit that is odd with the DMs.

Thank you, very kind of you to say... and yes, I'd be interested to see your characters.

I'm traveling at the moment, though, so my internet connection is closer to ethereal than ethernet. To make matters worse my DMs haven't worked correctly since Bluesky made changes a while back, but we can try.

Hopefully when I do this for the next 3 books things will be a tad easier.

Otherwise I'll definitely need to be finding new and imaginative ways to take holidays in the evaporating gaps between life and work.

Looking forward to getting back into the calmness of writing however. Publishing is hard.
