Blogged a bit about using #GitHub Apps for authentication in #GitHubActions workflows: blog.ostebaronen.dk/2026/03/auth...
I recently had to do this to have a scheduled action be able to create pull requests on a repo, but also have checks running on said PR. You can't do that with a regular token.
I've been using @cakebuild.net for a long time, it is really great! To be able to write C# to make up all your build tasks and everything around it, test it locally and just minimally bootstrap Cake in your yml file for your CI workflow.
Thanks to @devlead.se and the Cake team for their dedication!
Just say no?
Cover art for βBeetle Moses: a Comics Menagerieβ, the debut comic collection from beetle moses.
My debut book of comics is officially LIVE for PREORDER!
This wouldn't be too bad
How about rewriting your about section with AI? That seems useful, no? π¬
Coax is also an option if you have a TV outlet. You can do up to 2.5g
Oof, that is hot. Must have been boiling inside the car. But PLA is probably not the best choice here π
Which filament did you use?
Year of the Linux desktop. For real this time.
Just finished reading Rhythm of War. Another great book by Brandon Sanderson. I think I will take a short break from the Cosmere and try a bit of Dungeon Crawler Carl.
28 Years Later Bone Temple was really good. Watched it Saturday. I really hope they make a third film.
The most drastic change is the front of the car. Rear looks to not have undergone much change. Looks really good though.
Let's see how they will perform this season and see if BoP favors them more.
Bite me
Denmark just hit 90.9% BEV in Nov β +33β36pp YoY vs Nov β24. Trailing-12-months climbed to 84.2% BEV, up ~28β30pp YoY. That makes Denmark the second country to reach this milestone. This isnβt gradual adoption β itβs a late-stage S-curve snap. ICE isnβt declining anymore; itβs exiting. #RipICE #EV
Switching to Linux. Was struggling a bit setting up Steam with an external mount point. Turns out Steam needs exec mount option.
Today in very niche projects: I built a page showing the latest versions of all of the official GitHub Actions (actions/setup-python@v6 etc) so I can point Claude Code and friends at it when they're writing workflows for me simonwillison.net/2025/Dec/28/...
Some thoughts on Mozilla's trajectory and Waterfox's stance on AI in the browser π

More JPEG please
Please don't wiretap him, he has nothing to hide anyways
A black t-shirt that says βI don't want to be in the loop or out of the loop. I want to be aware of the loop & its contents but free from any loop-related responsibilitiesβ
so much happens
It is a bit hard to find a browser that is not based on either Chromium or Firefox.
However for Firefox, you can find distributions such as Librewolf, Waterfox and more that don't include telemetry and other bullshit, like AI in your case.
I'd assume you could find something similar for Chromium
Good job @damianantonowicz.pl and team πͺ
I sometimes wish the poop emoji also was there.
OSSF scorecard would be all green as you have more than one contributor and someone to review your PRs π
