Let me be clear: I’m glad Kristi Noem was fired. But we still have to abolish ICE.

This week’s Spot On is a little early! @jasonschreier.bsky.social joins @tamoorh.com and @lucyjames.games to talk about the changes at PlayStation recently, as well as the state of the industry as a whole.
Great insight as to why things are playing out the way they are!

There is no logic too it beyond making a decision, realizing it’s not the producing the results you need I. The time you require, and quickly pivoting to another decision.
The reality that explosive growth is just not really a possibility for the industry anymore is not a reality these companies can accept, and therefore, we’re are at the “throw shit at the wall and see what sticks” stage of exclusivity strategy.
Yah, I think that a return to exclusivity for both PlayStation and Xbox (after all of Sharma’s cryptic messaging), is just them simply changing trajectories cus what they were doing before wasn’t working, and this buys them some time before they also realize this isn’t a path to growth either.
We made a roleplaying game out of packing up an RE4 style briefcase and then made Leon Kennedy play it. It’s one of those ideas that came together amazingly and I’m so proud of the final result. youtu.be/v12u_oTFWyI?...
And Capcom… we’re open to working out a deal to make this a real game. Call us!

“In actuality, Marathon is about dropping down to a planet’s surface, hoarding your bullets like gold, and trying to avoid fights when and wherever possible.”
Yeah, when the most fun thing about your game is the gunplay, the above is a massive issue.
Ok Zeztz has gotten real good.

One official keeps saying acronym for “IAEA” wrong. They seem astonished Iran would not agree to the US supplying them nuclear fuel Laura Rozen @lrozen · 2h They took as suspicious proposals that Iran saw as concessionary. Laura Rozen @lrozen · 2h Explains why Oman FM tried to come to DC to explain what US negotiators may not have fully understood Laura Rozen @lrozen Am not saying what Iran proposed would have been enough, I dont know, but it seems US negotiators did not have the expert guidance to understand it correctly
On top of all the reporting that this war of aggression was planned well in advance, it seems that the reporting also indicates that the US political leadership are quite literally too stupid to understand basic diplomacy. I mean literally not smart enough.
I'm one run away from uninstalling this server slam lol ain't no way this is what the game is like after all this time.
This is just @itsmike.town
I was playing in a team with two friends, and it wasn’t fun that way either.
Gonna spend sometime trying to learn its peccadillos, but a game like this shouldn’t have big barriers to get to the fun.
Off the bat, Marathon is deeply unintuitive. Where Arc Raiders simultaneous gets you quickly onboarded into its gameplay loop and its loot systems, after 4 or 5 run in Marathon, I feel like I'm just stumbling to the exfill.

I will say, I am going through footage for a guide video we're putting up (it's meaty! Lot's of things the game doesn't really tell you!) and it's just making me want to play it all over again.
The Raccoon City stuff, at least to me, didn’t feel like anything was being dredged up from those games for the sake of it. The game makes you acutely aware of this not being the RC you remember, and plays with those expectations in satisfying ways. My qualms with game deal with what comes *after*.
There’s going to be a lot said about the Raccoon City portion of the game. I personally thoroughly enjoyed it. Certainly leaning on nostalgia, but feels deftly woven into RE9’s design, doesn’t overstay its welcome, and some of the most inventive gameplay moments happen in this section.
Requiem is Resident Evil at the best it’s ever been in terms of gameplay design, and Grace is a fantastic introduction to the franchise. But, while the story starts out strong, building up through act, it ends flatly, and is filled with logical inconsistencies, even by RE’s harebrained standards.
Mr. Pokémon? You mean Greg Miller?
It would also be one thing if this was an isolated incident of a slip of the tongue, but how many times has Newsom had those?
Then can you see how that doesn’t actually really change anything? Unless he specifically is referring directly to the host who brought up his own SAT scores/dyslexia, there’s nothing in the quote you shared that changes the context of what he seemingly told the audience.
Who is the “you” he’s referring to?
This dude simply must not, cannot be the nominee.
