Join us and our partners in calling for accountability for big oil. SIGN ON AS A SUPPORTER AND JOIN THE FIGHT TOMAKE SURE MINNESOTANS AREN'T STUCK HOLDING THE BILL FOR BIG POLLUTERS.
The principle is simple: If you make a mess, you clean it up. BECAUSE POLLUTERS SHOULD PAY FOR CLIMATE DAMAGES, NOT MINNESOTA FAMILIES
That's why we're introducing a bill to establish a climate superfund. A FUND THAT BILLS FOSSIL FUEL COMPANIES FOR THE DAMAGES THEY HAVE CAUSED.
Flood damage. Smoke-filled summers and extreme heat. Rising insurance costs that are too much to bear.
This legislation would hold fossil fuel companies accountable and ensure they help cover the costs of climate damage.
This is about fairness. Itβs about responsibility. And itβs about protecting our communities.

Minnesota families are already paying the orice for climate change.
Minnesotans are paying the price for climate change β in flood damage, extreme heat, and rising insurance costs. At the same time, big oil is making record profits.
That's why today we're launching MN vs. Big Oil, a campaign to create a Climate Superfundβ to make polluters pay for their mess.
Share Your Story: How have you been impacted by the climate crisis?
Climate change is already impacting Minnesotans.
Weβre inviting people across Minnesota to share how itβs affecting their lives, communities, and futures during Make Polluters Pay Week (Jan 26β31).
Your story matters, and we want to hear it.

Local Climate Action Plans in Minnesota
A statewide overview of where we are now, whatβs working, and what comes next.
Federal rollbacks and uncertainty make local leadership more urgent than ever. Cities and counties are moving forward regardless β because the costs of inaction are already here.
From Saint Paulβs EV Spot Network to geothermal district energy in Rochester, local governments are proving that clean energy solutions are cost-effective, practical, and scalable statewide.
These plans are not symbolic. They are driving measurable climate progress across the state: lower energy costs, stronger infrastructure, improved air quality, and new clean energy jobs.
Minnesota communities are stepping up and taking climate action into their own hands. Today, 26% of Minnesotans live in a city with a Local Climate Action Plan β and 31% live in a county with one.
a protestor holding a sign βmelissa hortman loved democracy and so do iβ
We will all be less without her, and we must see the violence that took her from this world as a reason to be more. We must be brave, we must be committed to a better world, we must be more like Melissa Hortman.
She worked tirelessly to help elect people who shared her values and even harder to ensure they brought home the kinds of change we need.
Her humility means that most people outside of the capitol donβt understand just how large her role was. She was never eager to take credit for her workβbut her commitment to the work never wavered.
There is no way to overstate the importance and impact of Melissa Hortman. Her brilliance, values, and commitment to making Minnesota a better place lit the way for wins that improved all of our lives.
