We have a few users who really like creating front pages for guides. Other times a user will start up the Table of Contents but get busy before they can get into the guide fully. If there were no standards, the information dump wouldn't be helpful to anyone. We've actually got lots of content that's useful but not perfectly formatted[1], but tables of data are quite common as well[2].

The "Ralf Jones" list features our original style and doesn't look very good these days. We've been working to finalize a format to standardize around, but there's a lot of variability in game features that we are working to support. Dustloop/SuperCombo are great for sure!
We've tried to make our move lists as easy to use as possible. I feel like we have exactly what you're looking for. We'd love to hear what you feel isn't working.
