Looking at my kids dinosaurs are pretty cool. Gone for 66 million years and mine still love them.

I agree with the sentiment but the world isn't black or white and would be a far better place if more people think things through before they act. Thinking alone isn't "living", but skipping or rushing the thinking part doesn't help either. Remember: Dubito, ergo cogito, ergo sum.
Unify. Here and at my parent's. For me best thing since sliced bread. Small dream machine a second AP and three five port switches. ~450โฌ? Feels like Word, I might be using 5% of the features. But different vlans and wlans to separate stuff and guest access plus vpn home. Happy to have a call.
What a compelling argument. Merry Christmas Mark!
Will try it in class in January. Looks useful for teaching!
The last time I heared the word why so often was in his book. And you ended with a Ted Talk reference. I like Sinek. Was meant as a compliment.
Is this the 2.0 version of youtu.be/qp0HIF3SfI4?...? ;)
I have like a trillion jokes at hand and you can always watch Spurs v Pool later today, but I'm sure you will enjoy that one better as an alternative youtu.be/9NtsnzRFJ_o?... you heared it already? If not his take on business apps is something you do not want to miss.
I think tenant ID is the least problem. Wanna know the Avepoint one? -> www.whatismytenantid.com
Well, ofc GenAI isn't a guarantee for success. But neither is a cordless drill, so do I tell the carpenter to not use it? I agree it's not about the tool it's about their fear of losing influence and rank. It's dividing people into good and bad based on a made up category.
I read that thread and it left me a bit speechless. So much entitlement. As if the uphill battle all non native English or unexperienced ones fight isn't reality. Not realising they create yet another artificial barrier for people to get picked. Democratizing IT right? But only for the "good" ones.
Ah. That's how they end up with the "all knowing mom". And no one thinks of the keylogger ;)
and here is the basis for the 5 seconds. It was part of my prompt :D
But like all tools, without a basic set of skills, you won't even understand the potential. If you can tell it what to do ...
@wldk.nl all that with around 50 lines of code done by myself. all the rest was done by chatting with github copilot. That thing blows me away at the moment. It's far from perfect, but it is effing awesome! Yesterday this was just an idea, now it's up and running. crazy times.
Oh. Is the effort maybe connected to a "tier" that companies want to reach in a certain partner program? That's at least the reason why that one popped up over here ;)
That's my "I'm happy. It's Christmas soon" mood shining through in the code. No worries, I'm just playing around with stuff, it's just a small side thingy that auto generates a blog post draft based on a YouTube url. As it takes whisper already minutes, those extra 5 don't matter imho.
The quite time of the year starts, remember, being nice is the way to go!
Given the time frame communicated no one thought this will be OK.
In that case, the book is perfect "going long", is all you need ;) Good luck and enjoy the ride! To give you an idea. I ran marathons before and started in 2007 with triathlon, 2008 first 70.3, 2011 first long distance. Give yourself time, the races will be there in the future.
First thing: you really need to know your why. You will suffer on the way and without a clear why, it will be very tough out there. If you have zero experience in triathlon, go get a coach and a medical check (heart!) first. If you want to get an idea, read www.amazon.de/-/en/Going-L...
Today is THE day. After almost 1,5 years I did pack my squash backpack again. First time on court after disc surgery last summer. Can't wait to play again and hopefully my lower back won't be bothered by it.
Congrats Paolo!
True. It's easy to identify powerful resources by looking at autocracies and what they seek to censor. But cat is out of the bag anyway, right? So when do we see efforts in education adopting to cope with this reality? As a part term uni-teacher, that thought shivers me timbers ...
The distance between those two places is ~20km. Compare going to the library in 1850 to going to the book store in 2024. I would argue, if we change the terms "AI" and "web", in your last two sentences, they are still true for the library and book store. "Everything comes in circles..."
that's my "job" for today. Now I'm tempted to put "Asche zu Asche" as background music ... kids would most probably like it anyway ^^
