Such perspectives consider voters as super-rational and expect them to respond to the economy, foreign intervention, etc., while simultaneously implying that sheer racism and misogyny weren't rational choices for some of these people.

The more we wonder why people still support Trump and assume that "surely, this war must harm his approval and hurt him electorally", the less we acknowledge the deep-rooted racism and white supremacy that make up a significant part of his support base.

Mediales Versagen auf ganzer Linie. Einen rechtsextremen Publizisten interviewen mit der Untertitelung "Ist er zu gefährlich für ein Zeitungsinterview?"

Die Frage muss rhetorisch gemeint sein, mit dem Ziel, Rechtsextreme weiter zu normalisieren, anders kann man sich diesen Blödsinn nicht erklären.

I consider myself a fairly informed person, and yet, this is the first time I have heard about the mass shooting that happened last night in Austin, TX.

I don't think our human brains are designed to be constantly exposed to this informational overwhelm.
