Who cares, you're in the log! Nicely done! I made 1 QSO (20M FT8) and will try and get some other slots later when it calms a little!
I just wanted the ATNO DXCC. ๐

I just wanted the ATNO DXCC. ๐
North? You went long path? ๐๐
Oh that's one hell of a view! โค๏ธ
@m1buu.bsky.social great signal, Colin. Sorry for QLF! ๐
It's about 3m total length. 2uH loop inductance.
It attracted quite a bit of attention with the Sunday morning football crowd in the park ๐
Yeah, 4 loops in parallel.
This mornings activation of GB-6035 with @johnpaulparkins 2E0TFJ using his magnetic loop! #pota #hamradio
I did once, but my dad was helping - he is competent ๐๐
I find ally easier, personally. I recovered the situation with an angle grinder and a VERY steady hand. ๐
Not my finest work, but it'll work fine! ๐๐
๐ Penultimate hole: 13.5/15 holes tapped to M3.
Cooper is so sticky.
I may have said bad words. Anyone have an M3 tap I can borrow? ๐
I think it may have actually worked in the end; I _think_ it was just trying to push 50k QSOs to Michael's box and not having fun!
This throws a tonne of errors for me :( The username and password are set and correct.
LoTW works OK; QRZ upload also fails.
Ohh, I'm manually syncing to Clublog... I must have missed a script! ๐
I've done nothing clever, it's all in Cloudlog by Pete @mm9sql.com
Likewise. I push everything real-time to my online logbook, and that batches everything up once per hour as cronjob. Works nicely.
Thanks Phil! ๐ I was only joking, but nice to have.
@gu0sup.bsky.social Thanks for the QSO, Phil. I had entered something witty in the 73 box, but apparently someone else calling me meant that didn't get sent! Nice to catch you and looking forward to you confirming GU on 30m in LoTW for me ;) hahah
A few QSOS this evening on #QO100 at LEFARS giving a club demo! #hamradio
It fits the MC-750 or MA-12 antennas that are classics for POTA activators.
Loading coil for 30m (V3) seems to be good! ๐ Design to be updated on website tomorrow!
Will keep an eye out for you! ๐
Haha! I didn't wanna ruin your run of JAs.
I've seen you on 17m a few times, Phil, working the JAs! ๐
I've been in 160m recently.
I need a pipe and slippers. ๐
It wasn't too bad. 500m or so from the car. The battery wasn't so suitable, and he went QRT somewhat abruptly. ๐
We were laughing as he's slowly morphed into my /P style with a chair 100W, etc., and I'm doing more and more CW and bought a QRP KX2 :) haha
Morning #POTA with @m0vfc at GB-5455 on 40m and 30m bands.
#hamradio #portable
I adapted one of my own designs! I made a phantom powered one for the IC705, but the KX radios supply 3.3V out which is perfect!
Do it. I set it as my 2025 new year resolution, spent 15 mins/day on learning. Within a few months I was chasing SOTA, POTA and dxpeditions (simple QSOs).
After about 6 months (and with a kick from @m0wut.bsky.social) I braved calling CQ!
It's now my favourite mode! ๐ I just need more practice!
