Is boblitude not a common variable name in gamedev? What do you call it when you need to set the amplitude of a thing that bobs up and down to a sine wave? Boblitude is the only right answer.

I just set up a new PC for the first time in ~7 years. I used the new winget package manager built into windows to install all my software and it blows my mind. It had 100% of the software that I use available, and has an upgrade function that will let me update everything with a single command 🤯🤯

I'm up to episode 30 so far, this is my favourite new podcast in years. Thanks for putting in the hard work. I'm so bummed I missed The Arcade, it sounds like exactly where I need to be.

I saved up for a few years and started my own company with a friend last year. Just transitioning into working on it full time now over this month. It’s exciting, and terrifying. Something I’ve always wanted to do

Yes! But no! I did it the other direction. I worked in boring old software for 10 years and just now pivoted to games.

Scott Drew, >20 year solo gamedev hobbyist jack-of-all-trades. Co-founded Fundrop Interactive last year, quit my day job in software engineering yesterday to work on Fundrop fulltime. We're making VR games and are excited about the apple headset. No commercial games released yet, but coming soon.
