There are so many issues with nuclear that saying it's an ideological issue is just ignorant.
Old reactors were hitting their limit. Energy companies don't want to build new ones because they are not profitable. Fuel is not easy to get by so you need go to RU to get some. And waste is still an issue
Maintaining nuclear waste is just postponing the inevitable and letting the later generation to deal with the aftermath.
Let's assume nuclear is great for the environment as is.
How are we getting rid of the waste produced? And don't come back with recycling because that's BS

Dude Frances generators are old and need to be shutdown more often than they like.
