I wish I was art
I spent the first 4-ish years of my art limiting myself by refusing to use references. I burnt myself out and started realizing that no one cares about how much time you spent on something, they only care about the end product.
This is also extremely helpful during the awkward stages of any type of art creation, where you have unfinished forms and bad lines. Never fear! Those will get fixed over time just be patient with yourself.
To perform the kind of art that I make I’ve had to embrace cringe to the point of desensitization. This is a feeling of freedom like no other and my disgust has been directed completely away from petty atrocities.
Embrace your inner cringe. Be whatever you want. 👁️👅👁️👅👁️
