The meeting concluded with a General Assembly led by WildPosh coordinator Denis Michez, who provided an overview of the work done so far, discussed collaborations with @valor-project.eu and @pollinera-horizon.eu, and outlined plans for the upcoming third Annual General Meeting.
Next came a presentation from @valor-project.eu's coordinator Tom Breeze, who presented the four future outcome scenarios developed at the VALOR future scenarios workshop, which took place during the Meeting.
Day 2 of the WildPosh Annual General Meeting in Turin opened with inter-work package discussions.
@pensoft.net covered the work done on communication and dissemination, new WildPosh materials, and new open-access publishing opportunities for pollinator research.
On to the work done to assess the effectiveness and feasibility of mitigation measures. In this presentation, partners showed their progress on synthesizing WildPosh project findings and external knowledge, developing good practice guides for practitioners and engaging in science-policy dialogues.
The conversation continues with updates on the work related to refining risk assessment approaches and predicting the risk of multiple pesticides on wild pollinators at the landscape scale.
WP4 presentation focused on efforts to compile EU and national-level data on European pollinators and pesticide distribution, while also collaborating with WP5 on dataset development, database creation, and ongoing data collection and curation.
Harmonised protocols for ERA and OECD between WildPosh and its sister project PollinERA were covered next, with PollinERA taking the stage to present the methodology behind the development of testing protocols within the project.
The next presentation covered the development of protocols assessing the impact of pesticides on wild pollinators and their application to more than 15 species.
Results from the work of WildPosh regarding pesticide responses in pollinators were presented by the University of Murcia, BioPark and CNRS.
Following a warm welcome by project coordinator Denis Michez, the Estonian University of Life Sciences provided updates on fieldwork, collected samples sent for pesticide screening, ongoing interviews with farmers and landscape analyses.
