everytime I'm like "I wonder if I can do xyz" the answer is yes, and it's like a single line of code
why did nobody tell me how much renpy freaking rules
and there should be a prize wheel you have to spin for 18 hours straight before getting a boring prize or whatever the wheel of mundanity was doing
my take is that a neopets ttrpg should take advantage of roll tables to recreate all the random events that can happen on the site. a slug gives you money. a faerie gives you an impossible fetch quest. a laser comes down from space and turns your petpet into a pile of dust.
(music isnβt mine, itβs from deltarune. itβs a time-honored tradition to send my friends progress videos with toby fox music playing in the background)
is this a good time to mention that iβve been working on-and-off on a game that takes a lot of inspiration from club penguin, webkinz, and the jelly world from neopets

thinking hard about this fragment of a game I built in 2022.... I abandoned it because I switched from Unity to Godot.... should I resist the urge to redownload Unity and finish it....

Happy Holidays!
"season's beatings!" from hunger's bite wick, neeta, and emery dressed as the ghosts from a christmas carol stand over a sleeping scrooge honeycutt. they're holding pipes.

ESCAPE FROM [YOUR DAY JOB]
-a team-building tool made in godot-
A maddening labyrinth of backrooms! Now with sound! I made this game last year for a team lunch event at work. Now, I'm sharing it with the public (with names removed).

That might be exactly what Iβm looking for, thank you! Iβll have to try it and see.
I miss how much easier dialogue was in Unity π I have never once gotten Dialogic 2 to work for me in Godot 4. Like it kind of works out of the box but also customizing anything about the layout is a Whole Thing..... just let me make my own dialogue box.....
for the full effect you would have to be listening to Fallen Down from Undertale on repeat, I think.
