Reuters, your map makes me think the crisis has a larger scope than your title indicates.

I haven't said anything about this before, bc in the grand scheme of horrors this only rates as an inconvenience, but since others are experiencing it:

Just three days after CBP arrested me for filming them outside Broadview on 9/27, my TSA Pre & Global Entry were suspendedβ€”and so were my wife's.

Emerging statistics on the economic impact of Operation Metro Surge are based on limited data and back-of-the-envelope calculations.

Researcher Aaron Rosenthal said rough early estimates are still valuable, because businesses, families and policymakers β€œcan’t wait a year for proper data.”

Today, I received confirmed reports that agents from ICE and HSI forced entry into a residence on the 5200 block of 36th Ave., kicking in the door and detaining a constituent. Witnesses report that 8–9 masked agents carried out the operation. 🧡

As noted, Rosen asserted in his email that "[t]he lawyers in my civil division
didn't deserve" the supposedly inaccurate January 28 order. Putting aside the fact that
the January 28 order was not inaccurate, Rosen failed to mention that this Court said the
following in the show-cause order that preceded the January 28 order:
The Court expresses its appreciation to attorney Ana Voss and her colleagues [in the civil division], who have struggled mightily to ensure that respondents comply with court orders despite the fact that respondents have failed to provide them with adequate resources.
ECF No. 7 at 2 n.1.
The judges of this District have been extraordinarily patient with the government
attorneys, recognizing that they have been put in an impossible position by Rosen and
his superiors in the Department of Justice (leading many of those attorneys- including, unfortunately, Ana Voss- to resign). What those attorneys "didn't deserve" was the
Administration sending 3000 ICE agents to Minnesota to detain people without making
any provision for handling the hundreds of lawsuits that were sure to follow.

If anything is "beyond the pale," it is ICE's continued violation of the orders of
this Court. Increasingly, this Court has had to resort to using the threat of civil
contempt to force ICE to comply with orders. The Court is not aware of another
occasion in the history of the United States in which a federal court has had to threaten
contempt -again and again and again - to force the United States government to comply
with court orders.

This shows why you can’t trust headlines or press conferences from the Trump administration. We still need people out keeping watch and staying vigilant until every last agent is off of our streets.

Many workers have missed shifts without jobs being destroyed making it challenging to measure labor impacts with conventional sources.

We use real-time daily data from Homebase to measure impacts. Thanks to UChicago and Homebase for making the data available.

Fewer than 500 ICE agents remain in Minnesota, lawmakers say U.S. Reps. Ilhan Omar and Angie Craig learned of the state of Operation Metro Surge during a visit to the Whipple Federal Building on Friday.

Reps. Ilhan Omar and Angie Craig were told fewer than 500 ICE agents remain in Minnesota.

Border czar Tom Homan said he plans to winnow ICE’s force in Minnesota to a ”regular footprint” of 150 agents.

I am heartbroken and outraged by the attempted arson at Renee Good’s memorial last night. There was gasoline poured over the memorial and a brief fire started. This is completely unacceptable.

We’re still seeing ICE a lot in the suburbs, following legal observers to their homes, and holding tons of our neighbors at Whipple and then dumping them out in the middle of the night. We still need to stay vigilant until every last one of them leaves our state and our neighbors are back home.
