Trump calls it a war. Some of his people insist it isn’t. If they can’t agree on what it is, how are they supposed to agree on how to end it?

It doesn't look like they had a plan.

It also reportedly says the U.S. currently has no evacuation points in place for Americans in the region.

“Please do not rely on the U.S. government for assisted departure or evacuation.”

That’s the message Americans hear when calling the State Department’s emergency line, the same number Marco Rubio urged people stuck in the Middle East to dial for help.

Sen. Richard Blumenthal said after a classified briefing that he is “more fearful than ever” the U.S. could end up putting boots on the ground in Iran.

A CIA station in Saudi Arabia was damaged in a suspected Iranian drone strike, as ongoing attacks force the U.S. to close embassies in multiple countries indefinitely while the Trump administration scrambles to secure flights evacuating stranded Americans from the region.

CNN reports the CIA has been working to arm Kurdish groups in hopes of triggering a popular uprising inside Iran. Seems like discussions like this should have happened before deciding to strike.
