Hi Bsky π My Live2D model public comms is now open!
I'm interested in working on more posed models or models with custom animations. If that sounds like what you're up to, I'd love to see it!
Regular full/half body are accepted too
Slots are limited, apply below!
5.3 is usable, feel free to use it! You just need to do a little more steps until VTS fully support it
They should've filter out incompatible blending modes π No point to list them when you can't use them
I made this visual guide for Live2D Discord because there's lots of posts asking about VTS compatibility issues with Live2D 5.3, as expected

saw some vtubers finding out dutch angle
that would be a perfect shot for an in-bed POV

γπ’ Notice regarding Live2D Cubism 5.3 γ
VTube Studio may support Live2D Cubism 5.3 later this year, but the required Unity SDK from Live2D Inc. has not been released yet.
Full transparency below: ππ§΅
Reminder that the new Live2D 5.3 features are still NOT compatible with VTS and likely will not be for a while yet (like... several more months minimum probably).
You can still use the new editor features and QoL stuff so long as you make sure you're still using the 5.0 SDK.

I actually would expect them at cons! I love getting them as well giving them out
Maybe Streamer.bot? I asked for a feature request there once to support Event reading, not sure if they added it yet
Last time I used it they're bbased on parameter values
It's fairly easy, right click at specific frame in the timeline then add an Event marker on it
The hard part however finding a plugin that loads that event to do things
Live2D User Data and Events description
There's one Live2D feature that I wish would get used often: Custom Events.
Imagine a trigger at specific time of animation. You can have it play sounds, set post visual effects or even change OBS scenes.
This feature is supported by VTS API, but few mainstream plugins is taking advantage of it
you can add perspective to a flat image pretty easily by using a perspective transform and then adding a vanishing point. then, simply move features along the vanishing point lines and add whatever is needed to maintain the form and look right
I'm more a do-it-myself guy but if the PSD is very barebone (sloppily cut) I would either charge for correction or decline the comms. The latter happens most often
Tea_con wondering about something
Been a Live2D rigger for a few years now and Iβm curious how others handle this.
How do you usually handle PSDs that arenβt Live2D ready?
Fix it yourself and adjust price/ETA, or work with someone else to further prepare the PSD for Live2D?

5.4 early test is scheduled this summer, 5.3 will enter stable version this month
I would say Parameter Controller is their major offering, it offers more efficient ways to control multiple parameters without having to hack physics setup
they don't, although it's nothing groundbreaking there's already plenty of 2D packing library out there (libnest2d comes to mind)

Introduction to Bluesky labels and labeling services.
NAFOTECH
Bluesky works differently than other social media services, moderation of content is mostly a user driven process. A label is a notation placed on content or on an account that allows other users to filter that content.
try it, i believe its becoming more important to be able to form your own opinion firsthand
im more a reading person
one habit i would like to adapt this year is watching a youtube video in full before jumping into comments section
you're welcome!
you're welcome! there are not so many performance guides out there so im thinking this is a good starter
i think its not the same, but i would ask @theartgun.bsky.social to be sure
Not using folder at all might be even worse, I think the Editor UI iterates objects in view based on Parts folders. If you have no folder at all it's going to iterate through everything which could add lag in view
