I think it might be important for people to know that, for decades, humanity has been and is capable of virtually annihilating itself and most life on Earth within minutes, but has never been closer to doing that (as far as we know) than the Cuban Missle Crisis.

I think what might be helpful to keep at the top of your mind is that we've had the power to obliterate most life on Earth for decades. Despite having this power, humanity has found some way never come closer to that than the Cuban Missle Crisis (from my understanding). We are somehow managing.

And the entire world literally hangs in the balance. Do global powers not recognize what the Republican Party is right now?
