The Council of Institutional Investors is a nonprofit, nonpartisan association of public pensions, corporate retirement plans, labor unions, foundations, endowments, and other institutional investors who manage the retirement plans for billions of people.

On the final day of our Spring Conference, we had the opportunity to hear from Mayor Muriel Bowser about her successes, including her impact on affordable housing in DC. This was such a fitting way to close out our time together in our nation’s capital.
Our Spring Conference featured panelists Caroline Escott of Railpen, Fabio Galli of Assogestioni, Agostino Scornajenchi of Snam, and David Shammai of Allianz Global Investors to explore what it would take for European companies to compete more effectively on the global stage.
On the second day of the CII Spring Conference, attendees had the opportunity to hear from Assistant Secretary for Investment Security of the U.S. Department of the Treasury Chris Pilkerton in a luncheon moderated by Shawn Cooley of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP. #Corporategovernance
As the topic of AI has become more mainstream, and utilization increases rapidly, many industries are grappling with appropriate governance. We were fortunate to hear from a great panel of experts about the role of institutional investors in shaping sound #AI practices.
