like duh of course so many queer or nd kids are also really into horror, it’s a space where freaks and weirdos are adored and celebrated. halloween is everyday. i’ve been obsessed with this shit from the moment i discovered what a scary movie was. to stop being a freak is to stop being ourselves

it resonated so deeply with me and probably every other horror freak who has ever watched it. such a beautiful portrayal of what it’s like being a kid and having horror mean Everything to you. i was sobbing just watching him painting his miniatures and looking at his bedroom! that was all of us!

started watching the creepshow revival series and it continued to affirm this belief. some shorts are fine but others were so good they made me cry. especially s2e1’s model kid, i was a complete mess before the halfway mark

the world sucks but horror doesn’t. so. i guess it’s easier to keep going if you’ve got something to look forward to. especially if that something is more wolfie ❤️

my main thing this past year has been indie stuff though. i saw the tv glow destroyed me. the v/h/s revival has been so good if you don’t count 99. creep tapes has easily been my favorite horror “thing” this decade. i love my sweet innocent wolfie so much he has never done anything wrong ever

even if some major franchises aren’t really doing the best (i’m so sorry halloween), the continued support for such beloved icons is still good! never expected another final destination or evil dead film this decade.

so many indie films/series have been seeing huge success. shudder is as dominant as ever. major franchises have been kinda ehhhh 50/50 on if new entries are good or not. new candyman was just *barely* below being as good as the original. welcome to derry was better than ch 2. alien romulus was middd

if in a violent nature 2 can improve on what few problems the original had then ouuuuuuggghhh oh my god it could easily end up being one of the best slashers of the 20s. even if everything else in the world has totally sucked ass, the 20s is gonna be known as one of the best decades for horror. tbh

in fairness s3 just. didn’t really hit for me? s1 and s2 are perfect. i can totally buy the idea they were running out of steam, you can kinda feel it. so many episodes in s3 felt like they didn’t really Do Enough. i liked them! animation was stellar and super creative. but they felt weaker. idk

literally since i stopped drawing because of depression i constantly whined and groaned about “oh i wanna drawwwww” and spent so long bitching about it that my skills degraded back to zero. big old zero. i’m at square one and struggling to draw one square.

like very rarely have i played a game that i’ve loved so much for every aspect except its high difficulty. i usually take issue with the difficulty being Too Low, not Unfuckingbelievably High.

99% of the time saying a game’s difficulty is unfair is a skill issue but not here bro nuh uh no way

first year of switch was sooooo good ohmygod. splatoon 2 botw and odyssey completely took over my life throughout all of freshman year of hs. the hype cycle and release of smash ultimate the following year i doubt could ever be replicated. no im not nostalgia blind! i think.
