Visit HCC to talk cycling infrastructure, or learn about the Cycling Guide app. Drop off your bike for safekeeping at our bike valet, get some bike maintenance from 12-2pm, get a bike fit from physio Adrian Wong from 2-4pm. HCC members can pick up their free anti-theft shield.

Interesting interview with Councillor Cathy Deagle Gammon in Laker News. She says she stands by her July vote in favour of a 2-way bikeway on Morris Street, but if there’s new information brought forward she’ll consider that info.
Also that she wouldn’t have run for council under a strong mayor

Last night's @criticalmasshfx.bsky.social took participants up sleepy Morris Street, where Nova Scotia premier Tim Houston has vowed to override local democracy to stop a planned bike lane.

Even with the political mess we’re in now and all the delays, I feel more hope than I did then. It’s impossible to deny the way the #BikeHfx community has grown and we truly are a community. That’s where my hope comes from.
All the experts agree: bike lanes make roads safer for everyone, including drivers. And they reduce congestion. Why are Houston and Fillmore so out of touch with the facts?
Houston, we have a problem! Deputy Mayor Mancini sets the record straight -- all parties were consulted and approved the Morris St bike lane plan, including Emergency Health Services and the Port Authority. What has changed?
Congestion: everyone hates it. Houston has the power to reduce it. If that was his goal.
