Jose Ramirez’s 39-game on-base streak ended. It was the longest by a Cleveland hitter since Victor Martinez (45 games in 2005-06).
The Nationals’ 8-game losing streak is their longest since a 9-game streak in 2022.
The Royals matched their longest losing streak of the season: 6 games.
The Mariners won their 22nd consecutive game when hitting a grand slam.
The Mariners tied their franchise record with their 5th grand slam before the end of June. It was the 5th time they’ve done it and first since 2002.
The White Sox tied the Braves for the MLB lead with their 19th 1-run loss.
The Astros trailed the Twins, 1-0, entering the 9th before winning 2-1 in 10 innings. It was the first time the Astros won a game when being shut out entering the 9th since June 29, 2022.
The A’s swept the Royals for the first time since September 12-15, 2016.
The Marlins had their 1st series sweep of the season.
The Astros are the only team left that hasn’t swept a series. At the other end of the spectrum, the Mets lead MLB with 6 sweeps.
Grant Holmes struck out 15 batters in 6.1 IP. He gave up just 3 runs in the Braves’ 10-1 loss.
It was the 2nd most K in any game by a pitcher whose team gave up 10+ runs in a game. Randy Johnson struck out 16 in ARI's 13-11 win over MIL on Sept. 27, 2001. Johnson allowed 5 runs in 6.2 IP that day.
The Angels gave up 10+ runs for the 7th time this season. Only the A’s (16) have done it more in the AL.
The Rockies had their 4th game this year with 10+ runs. It was their 2nd on the road.
In franchise history, 77.3% of the Rockies’ 10+ run games have come at home (433 of 560).
The Orioles scored 10+ runs for the 2nd time in a 5-game span. The only other time they did it before then was Opening Day.
Elly De La Cruz joined Frank Robinson (1959), Johnny Bench (1970) and Eric Davis (1984) as the only Reds to homer in 4 consecutive games at age 23 or younger.
The Yankees and Mets were both swept for the first time this season. The Reds are the only team left in MLB that hasn’t been swept.
At the other end of the spectrum, it’s no surprise that the Rockies led MLB by getting swept 11X. The White Sox (7) and A’s (6) are the only others with more than 5.
The Red Sox beat the Yankees, 2-0. The Red Sox threw their 5th shutout of the season and have been shut out once.
