That’s been my plan for a bit now, so glad to hear it’s what you recommend. I’m hoping Google will implement a few of the highly requested features in the new multiplatform plugin. I’m not getting my hopes up too much, but the issues are still open on their tracker, so there’s at least a chance! 🤞

So then effectively every “output target” (i.e. a desktop app, ios app, android app) will all be their own separate modules now that link against shared KMP libraries modules? If so then at least the idea of having each target be its own module is consistent and it’s no longer just an Android thing.
Are there any plans for Google to make a dedicated KMP Android app plugin like they did for the Android library plugin?

What's your number one problem with using KMP today?
It feels like the build system is constantly shifting and never really settles. This latest Android plugin migration has been the worst. It was super nice to be able to have a single module for an Android and desktop application, and now that has to be split out for very little to no gain.
I wish there were more / better resources on Skia shaders. I know they’re functionally identical to OpenGL shaders (at least last I checked), but as someone who wants to use shaders in Compose but has little to no shader experience, it’d be nice if there were more beginner Compose / Skia resources.
I love it when there’s a root shell and/or uBoot on the serial device. It makes my life so much easier when trying to mod / RE things. 😆
It’s so true it hurts. Jetbrains can make some questionable / annoying decisions at times, but man, Google is probably my single biggest annoyance with the Kotlin ecosystem. 😆

These Android KMP changes have been a complete mess IMO. Everything feels half baked and super frustrating to work with for minimal gain. The fact that I now have to have separate Gradle modules for an Android and desktop app sucks a lot, and the new Android library plugin has lots of known issues.

Negotiations are cool. It’s nice to have a formal mechanic for it in a TTRPG. Combat is so much easier than D&D.

Alright, decided to abort having my own PDS. My network setup makes it way more complicated, and I couldn’t get my test account to pass handle validation.
All things considered, it’s a simple process, it’s just how I have my network setup (for security reasons) that makes it too difficult for me.
Alright, time to migrate my account to my PDS. Wish me luck.
