Well shit
We do not despise it, we embrace it. We even have the Rocky Run that starts and ends there haha rockyrun.com
The Schuykill River Trail is a great trail for running along the river close to museum, as well.
I donβt think itβs a particularly controversial statement. I think the reality is, as with all things, itβs more complicated than that.
You can lose weight without exercising. You canβt outrun a bad diet. Your fitness watch way overestimates calories burned during exercise. TDEE is an estimate.
Bittersweet that my first RailsConf will be the last RailsConf, but couldnβt miss it in my backyard. Super excited to attend ππ
Ahhhh thanks for the reminder, snagged one!
@chriscoyier.net @davatron5000.bsky.social love how you guys disguised βways to torpedo your careerβ as a podcast episode. Completely unrelatedβ¦ itβs funny how βone more runβ at 10pm turns into 3am
Okay fine. After having to work with Tailwind for the new gig, Iβmβ¦ coming to enjoy it? 2025 is truly a wild year
It's officially official!!
Started a new job on Monday, and found out Dizzyβs splenic tumor was benign. After the last three weeks, good news was welcome

(Looks nice!)
Quit my job today π
Hooray ref ball!
Introduce yourself with some jobs youβve done apart from what you do now:
- Drug store associate
- Music store manager
- Musician
- Saas technical support
For sure, happy to be involved where I can help!
My feed is now almost exclusively Ruby stuff and dog pictures. What a time to be alive, and a refreshing relief.
Been building a ton for AI lately. It still involves lots of traditional coding. Architecture, modeling, provisioning, monitoring, it's almost like building a regular app β with many more network calls.
Yeah, I saw this a few weeks ago, and enjoyed the approach to solving the same problem. In a perfect world with endless free time to work on OSS, I'd like to have a plugin system so you could use ViewComponent, Phlex, etc. as well as defaults for CSS frameworks that ship as options for Rails
Yep that's all done in Ruby (and templates for ViewComponent). I've been off and on working on a gem based on the idea if you're curious. I think JSON is the best format to store content, but there's no easy way right now to render it.

Love ViewComponent! Introduced it at work to render ProseMirror based JSON (via TipTap) for book content that can be rendered either web based or for PDF intended for print. All your points track with what I found
Itβs so small!
Sigh
RIP wallet but the new M4 Pro Mini is wild
So far, the feed has been a good mix of things I like, pets and Ruby dev stuff. Iβll start contributing with pets, and get to the Ruby stuff later. Anyone else I should be following?
This blue app is much more relaxed than the other blue app.
