We immediately investigated a concern regarding unauthorized use of artist decals in Marathon and confirmed that a former Bungie artist included these in a texture sheet that was ultimately used in-game.

Today marks 10 years since I hit the road to start a career in gamedev. Many thanks to every single individual who’s been a part of the journey. Wouldn’t still be grinding without colleagues that have helped me to grow. Lessons and teachings to help me level up, so to speak. Patience when I’ve needed the time to learn. Respect and trust as we worked together to make dope shit happen. Specifically to my family and friends, the unending support to keep me going even when times were a bit shaky. I am so fucking lucky to have your love fueling me through thick and thin. And to every player out there, thank you for your inspiration, and most importantly… your time. Community will always be at the core of my heart. Your stories, your feedback, your excitement and your desire for more keeps me going. Cheers to 10 more. Much love. 💛

Guardians, Saturday is going to be a fun day. It’s reminiscent of a day that happened long ago. A day before there were Ghosts, Guardians, Wormgods, or Witnesses. A day when folks were getting eyes on Destiny gameplay for the first time. Hell, some folks were seeing the Bungie logo for the first time. Our community grew in so many ways that day, and over the last decade… it’s been an absolute blast. We’ve been through so much! Reveals, Foundation initiatives, world first races, bounties, raid-alongs, secret exotic discoveries, 2 tokens and a blue, tapirs, random game nights, conventions, server rollbacks, cabal agains, meet and greets, lord of wolves, Fractaline… you name it. From the highs to the lows and everything in-between, you all came together to continuously inspire and support us… and each other, too. This community, the BUNGIE community, is about to grow even more. The most exciting thought in my mind: Destiny will continue to grow and evolve alongside Marathon. It doesn’t matter what game you’re here for or what platform you’re playing on. We’re so excited to have you here, or to see you soon. One of my favorite Bungie values: We create worlds that inspire friendship. For all who’ve been here… since the start or even just recently, join us in welcoming all of the new folks with open arms. We’ve already seen new friendships and bonds formed over the last week during the Marathon ARG. Those moments have fueled our excitement and adrenaline even more for what’s to come. Much love. 💛
