Is there progress on private PDS data? Have not heard of it. Do you have a reference?
Irgendwann wurde aus Social-Media der Ort an dem eine Verbindung nicht mehr zählt, sondern wer am meisten für deine Aufmerksamkeit bezahlt und was der Algorithmus am Besten vermarkten kann.
Das Social in Media ist eine leere Hülle geworden. Sollte es nicht um Verbindungen gehen, um Menschen?
Bin ich bei dir/euch. Dennoch wird man die meisten Menschen nur über gute Alternativen kriegen. Denn es mangelt nicht an Alternativen. Die sind aber oft aus UX-Sicht schlecht und umständlich zu nutzen, weshalb Konsumenten dann bei den bequemen Lösungen bleiben. Es braucht also mMn bessere Lösungen.
Not right now. We are working on classifying content so that we understand what type of content that is and what the intention might be. We will extend this into images but don't have this implemented yet.
GenAI in particular is a tough to determine. Wouldn't call it impossible but we will see.

Ah I see yeah I agree. Would make sense to be able to add this kind of label.
We do not currently have labeler running but I see a strong use for this scenario and will talk to the others about it.

My understanding was that you wanted to detect this despite the creator adding a manual label? What you want is the ability as a creator to add a label like this rather than adding a hastag like paidad or something like that?
We are looking into general embeddings. I think we should be able to tackle this with our Feed.
I think the key is to provide tools for moderation. For example if you evaluate content and then let the users decide if that type of content (fake news, hate, entertainment, trigger, memes) is something they want to see or better filter out.

Es mangelt nicht an Alternativen, sondern an guten Alternativen. NextCloud nutzen wir auch für bestimmte Zwecke, es ist aber nicht Mainstream tauglich mit der aktuellen UX. Man muss an der UX arbeiten, um solche Alternativen zu stärken.
Glaube nicht, dass es irgendwas verzögert ob das Schnitzel oder Not Schnitzel heißen wird. Deshalb sehe ich hier auch keinen wirtschaftlichen Schaden. Die Alternativen in Supermärkten sind schon jetzt reichlich und am wachsen. Für Namen interessieren sich nur Gegner.
Albern ja, wird jeoch Nichts am Wandel ändern.

I don't think it is reasonable to ban and block every account for a piece of content. I think giving people real control about their feeds is the solution. No matter if that is a decentralized one or not.
Looks good. Just the opacity timing when the items fade out, do not look right. They look like flickering to me.
Maybe try to decrease it a bit slower. This way it kinda looks like a bug to me.

I have a totally different experience than you do. Like I said I see it as a benefit and the amount of clients and cool stuff that is created here is proof for me that the system works.

You can run your own AT-Proto Ecosystem without them if you really want to.
So I don't see this as a problem. I actually believe a company coordinating it, is the strength of at-proto.

AT-Proto hat die Chance mainstream tauglich zu werden, das sehe ich beim Ferdiverse nicht, auch nicht wenn man da jetzt viel Geld reinpumpt.

Einmal halte ich AT-Proto für die bessere Technologie und hier sind jetzt fast 40 Millionen Menschen im Vergleich zu 12 Millionen im Fediverse.
Yeah it does feel a bit too much. I would try to move the row with the follow stats and who is following together. Put it at the end, at top margin to make it have some distance to the Rest. Try increasing the font size of the follow stats.
The pronouns could also be right of the Profile Icon.
