the fact that it is this hard to get non steam games into steam mode is insane, it should be like a 2 step process. guess i need to learn how to write desktop linux apps or something

From Pygmalion: "Instead of encouraging humans to do more and better thinking, automatic programming may encourage humans to do less and poorer thinking. At any rate, automatic programming is unlikely to stimulate the development of new problem-solving techniques in the user"
Friends from outside Minnesota have asked me if there are celebrations in the street over Noem being fired. To anyone not in MN: no. people are still buying neighbors groceries and collecting for their rent and patrolling. If ice is abolished or trump dies, then mpls will celebrate

the party that wants to require ID to vote abruptly invalidating a thousand peopleβs IDs overnight seems like a pretty giant flashing red light
Thank you to Congresswoman @ilhanmn.bsky.social for standing up for Minnesota and against the shameful xenophobia hurled at our Somali community by the President tonight.
Oh rock on! That'd be a huge pickup
What can you buy for under $30 at the Midway Aldiβ¦

minneapolis ward 9 city council member jason chavez says it was not politicians that caused feds to pull back from minneapolis and greg bovino to leave. it was the people. but them leaving minneapolis is not acceptable, ICE cannot just go elsewhere. they must be abolished

The Green Line taking literally twice as long as driving from *station to station* (not including any walking or transfers) is really damning. At minimum would love to see the light rail have emergency-vehicle style light priority for all crossings instead of the half-measures they have now.
shout out hells kitchen minneapolis for pulling such a huge crowd for mercado central. food was killer, weepy knowing the community shows up like this.
It ainβt over til Minnesota has ICEβs battle flag
I have neighbors everywhere
Keep showing up.
Provide rides for your neighbors.
Coordinate grocery drop offs.
Pitch in for urgent rent relief.
Support mutual aid projects.
Demand action from elected officials.
Support local small businesses.
Check in & take care of one another.
Donβt let up.
Keep showing up.
We keep us safe.
itβs still abolish ICE baby, itβs always abolish ICE
Thereβs a vote in DC tomorrow that would give DHS $11 billion more in funding. Schumer and Jeffries have already walked back any βdemandsβ they had for DHS.
I, for one, do not think this timing is just a coincidence. Turn down the temp for the vote. Turn it right back up when the bag is secured.
I donβt believe anything they say, is the thing
Walz: "The federal government needs to pay for what they broke here. There's going to be accountability on things that happened, but one of them is the incredible and immense cost borne by the people of this state. The federal government needs to be responsible."
shitty morning given levity knowing not only we might be coming to an end but also knowing that the folks in our cities know this is ongoing and we must love our neighbors around the country. also a little loon would be sick
