Now I know why artists are always saying their new work is their "best work", because this new song we’re putting out this summer is probably the coolest thing we’ve put out so far...

There is far more outrage from tech leaders over a wealth tax than masked ICE agents terrorizing communities and executing civilians in the streets.

Tells you what you need to know about the values of our industry.

There's one foolproof way to gauge whether someone is a millennial or a zoomer: Ask them how they learned the difference between Iceland and Greenland.

If the answer is from D2: The Mighty Ducks, you're talking to a millennial. Otherwise, zoomer.

So much of American history is just impulsive and extremely stupid elites, who don't believe in consequences because they have never personally experienced them, doing highly consequential stuff because they're bored or believe it might make them richer. I guess a lot of our culture, too.

He’s not even really orange anymore honestly, more like a dehydrated, piss yellow.

Please stop with the "disabled" "abled-bodied" dichotomy, it's ableist and misleading as fuck.

Disabled / non-disabled. There, fixed that for you.

Today marks a month straight of being sick. Finally working my way out of it, but it’s been a rough November.

Black text on a yellow background - This is Alice's friend Sandy Ho, posting. Per Alice's wishes, this message is being shared at the time of her passing.
Hi everyone, it looks like I ran out of time. I have so many dreams that I wanted to fulfill and plans to create new stories for you. There are a few in progress that might come to fruition in a few years if things work out. I did not ever imagine I would live to this age and end up a writer, editor, activist, and more. As a kid riddled with insecurity and internalized ableism, I could not see a path forward. It was thanks to friendships and some great teachers who believed in me that I was able to fight my way out of miserable situations into a place where I finally felt comfortable in my skin.
We need more stories about us and our culture.
You all, we all, deserve the everything and more in such a hostile, ableist environment. Our wisdom is incisive and unflinching. I'm honored to be your ancestor and believe disabled oracles like us will light the way to the future. Don't let the bastards grind you down. I love you all.

If any child in your life has an IEP or 504 plan:

Trump fired (we think) all of the employees in the office at the US Department of Education that disburses special education funds from the federal government that school districts use to pay for those plans.

Plenary Authority, huh? So, broad ranging, unrestricted power a la a dictator???

Hate that for us.

The Rise, Fall, and Rise Again of Local Philly Legends Algernon Cadwallader It’s hard to explain if you weren’t there. I was there, though. It was one of the few times that I was there for one of those things you had to be there for

I interviewed Algernon Cadwallader - a band that blew my head clean off at The Church in 2011 - about coming back to do the same for the next generation of teenagers who thought they have seen and heard it all, and everyone who never stopped loving them in their absence

(Potential spoiler, I guess) My biggest takeaway from watching the F1 movie last night was that I couldn’t believe Lewis Hamilton let them fuck him over again at Abu Dhabi.
