The Celtics were set to draft Fleming with the 32nd pick, but the Suns traded up and took him. That resulted in the Celtics trading back for extra picks and taking Amari Williams (who is promising).
It was one late season win by Utah that changed the order of those 31st and 32nd picks.
The early game cost Tatum about 6 hours rest going into this one, but it gives him about 7 hours extra before the Spurs.
Queta played his second most minutes ever.
Scheierman's rise from should be on the team to should he start over Hauser is incredible.

With Vuc out, small ball might be doable for short minutes, especially paired with Tatum. This gives Walsh an avenue for minutes when it looked like he might be buried.

As far as Vuc, he didn't wow since the deal. Garza could give the Cs just as much.
Good article. I was impressed by how well Tatum synced with both Queta and Garza. He made both of them more effective.
I have no idea. It really doesn't matter either, because the guy won't play. I mention him earlier- Cole Anthony would be very good for a buyout guy, and the fact that he hasn't signed anywhere yet makes me think this is possible.

Brad Stevens said that's what they're looking to do- sign a ball handler who knows beforehand that he won't play unless there's an injury and is ok with that.
It 's still way more likely a point than a center. The Vuc injury just makes a center remotely possible.
Maybe it'll be Banton. Cole Anthony would be fine if he doesn't choose another team. Or like you say, someone no one's talked of. Brad does that regularly.
They'll do both. The Harper signing would happen the last day of the season. That's on top of a mystery vet signing which will happen on 3/14, one week from now.
According to Yossi Gozlan, they can just barely sign a vet on 3/14 along with Shulga. Then they could convert Harper on the last day of the season too.

Whoever they get at whichever position would only be used in case of another injury. Maybe Amari is up to it. Even with Vuc out, the chance of them picking up a center is slim.
I love Amari and want him to play too. But he's gonna make a lot of mistakes right now. If Q or Garza goes down it would help to have another option if there's a serviceable one available (which there probably isn't).
I agree with this, and Tatum really helps Garza on defense by being taller and better than the other Celtics' "power forwards."
On offense Garza will probably get more 3 point attempts with Tatum in the game, as Tatum draws so much attention.
With Vucevic down, the center position is as thin as point guard for the Celtics. Maybe this puts a big man into play for the upcoming vet signing instead of a point.
There won't be much out there, but Las Vegas summer league big man Charles Bassey is eligible and available, I think.
It looks like Tatum's 27 minutes were donated from many players. Brown, White, Hauser, Scheierman, and Hugo all played less, but nobody played noticeably less except for maybe Hugo.
If Tatum can spur Queta on to yet another level, this team will really be tough to beat.
Queta was a beneficiary of Tatum playing. He gave Q some easy looks.
