I never connected with Forgotten Realms. I love lots of the TSR era settings, Dragonlance, Ravenloft, Dark Sun, but FR was too generic for me.

Please do this in Blades in the Dark, or some similar system, that has proper support for hiest games. This would also support indie creators over Hasbro's fantasy game.

I just visited Spain and it's the same AirBnB problem that many places face. The amount of apartments being rented out at tourist prices for a few months a year has dramatically reduced the availabilty of housing for local workers.

An important cultural note it is hard to get anything done in Australia from Dec 15 to the end of Jan. It's summer, it's public holidays, it's the long school break. Tack an extra few weeks onto expectations of getting any bureaucratic process completed in this period.

Games Workshop was known by nerdy kids in my circles. 40k started in '87, so they were probably playing WH Fantasy.

What I was trying to illustrate is how narrow the outrage was at the time. You could do ALL the D&D things with a different system and get none of the Satanic Panic blowback.

I loved the amount of kids in that period that were forced out of playing D&D by their parents, but playing WH 40k or Shadowrun was totally fine.
