I've finally realized why blogging is so important for me.
It's because I believe people should have a way to use creative expression to find their people

I've seen folks hacking the remarkable... Wonder if it's possible to have a document that shows annotations from two users. Maybe the doc syncs nightly or something, with different users showing up as different colors ?

One thing wrong with Google's AI overviews: they've shipped the UX from an academic paper!
Excerpt from my conversation with @tomcritchlow.com

Oh neat thanks!
Yeah but this requires having a server I believe? Not a solution for static sites... I could take this code and host it on replit or something likely with a little effort but feels like someone should have a hosted solution?

I would assume the same but meta is in trouble right now for doing that, do we know if Google did or not?
Is Google slurping up all the pirated content for llm training too or did they Gemini 2.5 "legit"?
Do we know or are we just assuming they're all doing the same sketchy things?

Hordes of people listlessly roaming the flat planes of our networks trying to shake sensemaking out of random posters like ducklings who imprinted on a woodchipper
Enjoyed this return to mercurial vgr form
Lovely! Love these little libraries

Actually, update. A potentially easier way is to navigate to:
chrome://extensions/
You'll see a banner saying Quotebacks has been disabled, would you like to remove or keep. Press keep!
Then Quotebacks will show up in your list of extensions (disabled) where you can click to re-enable it.
