I published the website a couple of minutes ago
gardenhouse.pinkro.se
it's a set of tools I developed that let users bootstrap immutable Gentoo images, including features that previously were systemd specific but now also function on non systemd systems
as far as I know this is one of the first immutable non-systemd "distros" (one could argue that is not a distro)
gardenhouse.pinkro.se
what I ended up coming up with
Total hugo death
I ended up just using pandoc to convert markdown to html lol
And im not gonna use some shit like docutils or sphinx or whatever its claled
bluesky oomfies you all know more about webstuff
what would be like the best way to make a website for gardenhouse to mainly host docs and guides
lmao yeah common mistake
but im glad that you ended up finding the issue, its super simple to solve as well ( assuming you have a soldering iron)
if you need any pointers let me know!!
Rosalina and Pauline kisses.
Gonna take it easy today for my birthday. So here’s a Rosalina x Pauline. 🩵❤️ #rosalina #pauline #yuri
hope you see anything obvious
in case everything looks fine, check the resistance of each resistor, it should be around 24.5 Ohms
do you mean the wii sensor bar?
i dont have a schematic but its pretty much just four leds and one resistor connected in series
if I had to guess the smoke smell came from the resistor breaking, so that'd be the first thing id check out

two terminal windows opened, the left one shows security measurment from fwupd, which shows that the device reaches hsi:4 (the highest level) on the right terminal it shows the dm-verity status, showing that the system is integrity protected, as well as a clevis key list which shows that the encrypted partition is tpm secured
the exciting part: to my knowledge, this is the second "distro" that fully implements all of this out of the box, and the first distro do to this without systemd (the other one being gnome os)
gardenhouse update ! yay!
i added a new profile, bamboo, it runs on my work thinkpad and fully implements all security features reaching from a measured boot to dm-verity verified root and tpm2 encrypted user data, reaching hsi4 in fwupd

"fix"
more games need to do this and im not joking
beautiful display of human ingenuity and movement. THIS is how games become more realistic !!
Tfw you still have some edge cases to fix in your procedural locomotion system #gamedev
as for updating, systemd intends sysext updates to be done through systemd-sysupdate, which has updatectl and also an interface for gnome software, but it requires manual configuration for each sysext
currently the best way to do this is through some tool that builds sysexts on the host, that way maintainers arent required to build sysexts for virtually every version currently supported
sysexts arent really intended for standalone packages, its usually intended for things like drivers or whole components (gnome os for example packages nvidia drivers and apparmor as sysexts)
a very valid issue*
so of course there isn't going to be a Chrome CVE where zypak was the cause
seeing that bazzite is starting to become a very big player in the immutable linux space there should be more efforts to figure out ways to fix things like this than to use invalid arguments against a very valid argument
suggesting that Zypaks sandboxing isnt as bad as the chromium sandbox which has been audited many many times simply because Zypak has no CVEs is not the way to go
Zypak isnt a chromium project, it actively disables the chromium sandbox,
