Reminder that the only time Mastercard has flinched is when outrage was directed at them. Attacking platforms like SubscribeStar for Visa/Mastercard's extralegal censorship is exactly the deflection they want.
At a very minimum, Democrats need to meet voters where they are. If they don't, they shouldn't be in the party.
For example, the voters overwhelmingly oppose the Iran war and want to abolish ICE. The leadership of the party has made it clear it doesn't really oppose the war or want to abolish ICE.
1000% what happened AND despite this young people CONTINUE TO PROTEST AND TAKE ACTION. That's the thing that I find so damned disingenuous among some of these people.

the targeting of any art that is "obscene" (terms of obscenity always to be decided at a whim) is fascistic yes but also how the only kinds of art that tends to be penalized is the individual/independent creators isn't lost on me. a patreon TOS would reject anything that can be streamed on netflix.
It shouldn't fall to trans people to explain to cis people why creating laws that effectively amount to "If you have or ever had a penis, you must behave this way; If you have, or ever had a vagina, you must behave this other way" is horrifically dangerous for everyone's rights.

1. Horrifying ruling out of the 4th Circuit.
An all-Republican 4th Circuit panel has just ruled that states can compel trans adults to "appreciate their sex" by enacting care bans.
It even directly says that trans adult care bans are legal in the ruling.
