say what you will, but Bernie consistently has crisp, accurate arguments that can reach people on both sides of the political spectrum. Look at this explainer of what's happening right now: www.instagram.com/reel/DFgAlsO...
I'm struck by the near-total failure of leadership across civil society, in a country that fetishizes the concept. Whole sections of leadership books at every bookstore. Named, endowed "leadership" institutes and curricula across higher ed. Awards and special recognition for "leaders." AND YET
1) Don't post about news unless you're either adding something to the conversation from your own expertise or experience or amplifying something that doesn't appear to already be widely circulating. 2) Addendum to #1: it's also OK if you think you have a good joke. 3) Prefer directly amplifying sober, matter-of-fact, primary source expertise over uninformed speculation or "preaching to the choir" vitriol. 4) Always know the sourcing when posting a news item. 5) Pace yourself-don't feel you must respond to every outrage. 6) Don't post to minimize what others are worried about or to scold people for not worrying enough.
Came up with some rules for myself about posting on social media.

I have doom scrolled to the end of every feed and came back to say: close your browser.
it absolutely blows my mind that Mark Zuckerberg would openly say he's cutting down on fact checking in favor of community notes.

In some ways, I think adopting Bluesky is like walking back in time a few years.
(and that is absolutely wonderful)
Everyone I know that has a P1S has way too much fun. I just added it to the shopping cart (again).
not sure about this theory because while the amount of surf goes up with sea levels, the amount of rocks goes down
Loving the ergodox!
I get so many of these for @f on twitter. Would sell for bad money too.
Didnβt meant to imply it as an order and apologize if it read that way. Was merely pointing out that I didnβt read their comment as condescending. Text is fucking hard. Also, lol @ rando bro. π
Theyβre explaining a pretty reasonable opinion in a way thatβs nothing but respectful and this is your response? Just disagree and move on, if you must.
I realized way too late that my username and follower count on twitter made it really hard to just be myself. None of that here.
Overcooked is a different gente but hilarious for couples.
