I know multiple screenwriters & I can confidently say that writing for a novel & a screen are very different things. Just because he can create good cinematic scenes & likeable characters in the written medium doesn't mean he can repeat that in a visual medium.

Im a big fan of Mistborn & i think it will make great movies regardless of format...
BUT, for Stormlight, im not sure that a book series which takes pride in saving all the page turning action for a smaller & smaller section at the end of the book can translate well to a tv?
