I might eventually put the summaries in an RSS feed, but I don’t want to have to deal with hosting/domain just yet. In the meantime, I’m hoping this will cut down on my daily reading time. I also don’t think I have the right mix of sources yet, so I’ll be tweaking that.
But yesterday I had a chance to put together a little toy project using the Claude API - it grabs news items from a handful of sources, summarizes them, then writes the summaries to a dated daily markdown file:

I’ve been shockingly busy since the Vox layoffs a few weeks ago - I got married a few days later, then got back home and had a mountain of paperwork to dig through. I’m already interviewing (part of me wishes I had slowed down on that).
