This team is going to be dreadful for the rest of this season. If they had a bunch of young prospects to call up and for extra ice time to, it would be fine, but we're just going to see a lot of Raddysh, Brodzinski and Miller.
Nice to get that third round pick back that Drury paid for him; it's a better return than I expected.
Thank you, Dave!
Taking advantage of the icy weather to get some outdoor skating in at the local park and enjoyed watching the Madison Parks Department clearing the ice

Oof.
I'm still mad at Drury for forcing out Kreider (who is 10G6A16P in 19 games with the π¦) the way he did, but finally making room in the top 6 for a #1 draft pick to play his natural LW position has been way overdue.
"Blind Spot," the 2nd single from "Not Tired" is now out: ffm.to/blind_spot
I hope you like it! Raucous tune, played by great band. Nick Moran, bass; Ingrid Jensen, trumpet; Dayna Stephens, saxophone; Adam Nussbaum, drums; Mitchell Shiner, vibraphone; and me on piano.
Check out "Into The Rain," my homage to Canada's "Wet Coast," with Dayna Stephens, Ingrid Jensen, Nick Moran, Adam Nussbaum and myself. From "Not Tired" (release date: Dec 5), now available for pre-order at shiftingparadigmrecords.bandcamp.com/album/not-ti...

Thanks for the tireless efforts by the wonderful Staci Griesbach, Wisconsin's Door County has a new jazz festival! It's a full week of great music, and I'm honored to bring Precarious Towers to Fish Creek on Tuesday, Aug 5. Free, 5-7 pm in Fish Creek at the Historic Noble Square
No.
The last three weeks have been exhausting, but it has been an absolute joy to witness our students' final concerts, senior recitals, grad recitals, doctoral defenses and research presentations. Seeing ambitious people challenge themselves and thrive (or even just survive) is so life affirming β₯οΈ

This Saturday, at Madison, WI's Cafe Coda! I'm looking forward to playing with Arun Luthra's Konnakol Jazz Project, featuring saxophonist/konnakol artist/composer/bandleader Arun Luthra, bassist Nick Moran, and drummer Mitch Shiner.
i am fascinated by the outright refusal of people in the professional political commentary class to just consider the possibility that there is no plan and that trump really is a braying idiot with the more acute case of narcissistic personality disorder on record

At the Grape in Ventura, playing with a couple of my oldest and best friends, Dennis Mitcheltree @mitcheltree.bsky.social , tenor saxophone, and Andy Sanesi, drums. Bassist Will Lyle is fitting right in as well.
AAJ review for Holding Space: "there is no denying the genuine esprit de corps on display here, and there is delight in hearing two fine musicians spend an enjoyable hour in the studio strutting their stuff."
Thanks, Downbeat Magazine for the nice review of Dennis @mitcheltree.bsky.social and my new album Holding Space, out now on @shiftingparadigm.bsky.social Records.
I'd like to bring this video to your attention.

It's doing pretty significant numbers for what it is, so while I understand sharing it won't make a difference for those knee-deep in the cult of personality, I'd say it has a better-than-average chance of resonating.
My vote would be for Harvey who is an absolute artist at the blue line.
