we've added so many bespoke new dev tools to The Mermaid Mask Unity project, I'm continually baffled as to how we made Tangle Tower without this stuff. I guess Tangle Tower was just made with fairy dust and dreams
idk, it does accurately evoke being pulled away from Earth to float in the void of space. Maybe they just described the intro to the composer

This is what the dialogue tool looks like in our Mermaid Mask Unity project. I write the script directly into these boxes, select facial expressions if it's for an examine box, as these are, and I include voice directions, since it later gets exported as a script for the voice actors

it has optional tickboxes for a bunch of features - choices ('branches') look like this:
the localisers also get the voice notes, to help them understand my intention with each line

The voice actors don't see this part, they see an exported script, which doesn't have the pictures. (see linked post) I actually don't select the little faces until the voices are in the game - that way I can pick a face that matches the delivery that the actor went with!
