i love these little vignettes from Picture Cross

Wordy from Puzzle Page, where I guessed stare, radix, parch, and march, before finally guessing the correct word, larch.

Never seen that word before. I assume it means “big”?

Other words I tried that apparently aren’t really words:

Carch: where I sleep when the wife is mad
Garch: where I park the car
Farch: looking for food in the woods
Barch: rudely entering a space
Warch: observing my tv shows
