So far the only important behaviour I needed from iTerm was the copy-on-select and setting it to clipboard works great for me.
Love the fact that the default config and themes are available with a command from the terminal itself.

So far loving the the default config should be sufficient approach. Jives well with my expectations. Will post any fun tricks discovered which weren't apparent directly from the docs rightaway here. If there's enough of these then I'll write something longer.
With ghostty.org getting rave reviews and @mitchellh being the legend he is, been diving into ghostty head since it's public release yesterday.
I have always been a use a default tool unless you really need to change sort of person. Which means I have been on iTerm on macos for the longest time and haven't really had any reason to change.

a PSA since a lot of folks have been surprised to learn this: terminal programs often support the mouse! Try:
- opening `htop` and clicking a column header to sort
- opening `nano` (or vim, or micro) and clicking and dragging to select text
- using the scroll wheel in `mc`
