I'm surfacing a bit here to say hi. I've been so busy since last summer and haven't had time for social. World events are hitting really hard too since last Friday. I'm busy writing tech book 3 on .NET topics and some fun stuff with Werewolf and probability.
Actually, I take this back. I recall skimming this when it came out. I'll drill deeper into it.
I'm actively exploring agents this month and solidifying the location and story metadata tracking.

I hadn't seen this. Thank you for sharing.
I've been tinkering around with AI Orchestration and LLMs to help facilitate a solo D&D campaign in an alien world setting. Tools involved are Semantic Kernel, C#, MidJourney, Azure OpenAI, and D&D Beyond with Obsidian to record my journey. It's a lot of fun.
I haven't mentioned this yet, but I am elated to join the board of @stirtrek.com, letting me serve the very first in person conference I ever attedance (back in 2009) and the regional community.
Not verbal but...
1. Michael Crichton.
2. Uh... Jurassic Park?
3. Science, suspense, pacing, tension, pulling me along.
If we're only verbal, then maybe Gladwell? I love his mannerisms and passion mixed with nerdery.
Thank you! It's such an interesting world and idea.
I went on a random YouTube tangent this afternoon and discovered the Bicolline Medieval LARP event up in Canada. I kind of wish Matt in his 20's knew about this place, but it was fun to watch accounts of it.
Congratulations Sam!
Notice my handle is @brendoneus.com on here?
Custom handles are how people and brands verify themselves on here. Anyone can make a handle, but you can make it your domain name.
Expect to see businesses use @help.example.com , @example.com, etc. for each department.

Wrote a bit over 1.5k words tonight, starting and finishing a chapter I'm calling "The NDA". This chapter concludes the first of 6 parts in the book, though I spot a number of things I want to polish and improve in the second draft.

I wear a lot of both, but nowadays tend to favor purple a bit more.
Tweet from @codeinthehole: “On your first day at the new job, squash every commit from the repo into a single commit with message "Legacy code" and force-push to master.”
Big legacy code energy.
As of last night, I'm 6 chapters and 11.5k words in on the new novel (an AI technothriller). I don't have a firm chapter count or word count in mind for the first draft, but I view myself as just shy of 1/6 of the way through the plot.
Hey folks. Thanks for the follows. I'm a technical author and course creator with "Refactoring with C#" and "Data Science in .NET with Polyglot Notebooks" being my published books, a new one coming next year, and a technothriller currently under development. I do a lot in the .NET and AI spaces.
If you're updating things to #dotnet 9 this week or in the near future, dotnet outdated is your friend! It will save you loads of time!

I mean, I already have an avatar by you, but this is pretty goofy.

What inventions or products become possible if any complex computation can be achieved in 150 milliseconds through an API call?
I heard this place was popping off recently. Hello again. Still on Twitter and LI, but we'll see if I can remember to check this app too. Currently working on a novel and some conference content for January, but I'll start a new tech book in the new year.
