Spent my CNY enjoying time with fam & friends, also started reading on some tech classics shaping our world today, learnt a lot from these even after years. First is Tim Berners Leeβs 1990 proposal, later became what we know today as the web.

Just metadata, thanks for the discussion really didnβt think about a small post would do. After all this is just a simple on device app Iβm making, and just try to improve some manual input experience for users (but guess only ourselves could really recognize the best trip photos from our mind) π
Show the plants! Iβll show my watercolor of the baby, I miss mine already π (away for holidays)
I have users put in location & time of their trip already, so I just try to match these with photos in album, then use some Apple api like calculateaethetiscore (canβt remember the name but in vision doc) to rank these and show as suggestions. Not exactly what the best rec engine do but works now.
Ahhh sry about the misunderstanding. I think what I did is maybe not a traditional complex recommendation engine? Itβs just combos of tiny filters for my on device app. Goal is to find relevant photos from a trip long time ago, shrinking scope from 10,000 to maybe 20? Continue down π

Right, I was doing something like βguessing the right trip photo for user from over 10,000+ photosβ today myself, similar situation else yours, so I agree on the right assumption if location + exercises patterns + routines meet a certain sport, it should give u a reasonable guess as option.
More importantly, it simply tells the story without critiquing the facts, conveying a wealth of information through its lightness and fluidity. Yet, the plot is never the focusβitβs the message behind it.
Beneath the childlike wonder and spirituality, it tells a story rooted in history, religious history, and a slice of human development (from animistic beliefs to fixed monotheism).

Hmmmmm maybe they donβt have data like common exercise patterns for each sport, like idk I donβt really do much sports so just nonsense here, like heart rate goes to 120 for 2 mins then low as 90 for 2 minutes for typical badminton so they would make an accurate guess? Idk if such a thing exists.
