Consistency, immersion and fun is a lot more important than being realistic. Real life sucks and we spent millennia inventing stuff to escape from it.

Nowadays a game says "Hey go to Big Monsters Cave, and kill big monsters for big monsters bits", and I'm like What is the task? How do I kill? How can I track the quest? Why am I doing this?... And I have been playing the game for 20 hours. 😅
I think the older I am the dumber I am in games... in my teens when I played (a lot) Lineage 2, I just knew how shit worked, where to go, what to buy and the UX and UI were not that great.
Even though the referee was abysmally bad, we should have won this game. So many opportunities wasted.
